Seasonal color analysis: 4 families, 12 seasons

Seasonal color analysis sorts your natural coloring into a season, and each season comes with colors that sit well next to your skin. This page explains the system and shows all 12.

How the system works

Seasonal color analysis compares three things about a person: undertone (whether the skin leans golden or pink), depth (how light or dark the skin, hair and eyes are together) and clarity (how strong or muted those colors are). Two answers on undertone and two on clarity give the four families: Spring is warm and clear, Summer is cool and soft, Autumn is warm and soft, Winter is cool and clear. Each family then splits into three seasons, named after the trait that stands out most, which makes 12. A Deep Autumn is an Autumn whose strongest trait is depth. A Light Summer is a Summer whose strongest trait is lightness. A neutral undertone sits between warm and cool and usually lands in a soft season, such as Soft Summer or Soft Autumn.

A tan does not change your undertone. Dyed hair does change what a photo shows, so a reading fits the hair you have now.

Which season am I?

Two neighbors can look alike. Deep Autumn and Deep Winter share their depth and differ only in undertone, so a guess from a mirror often lands on the wrong one. The free tool measures your undertone and names your family. The paid report names your season out of 12 and shows the colors on your own photo.
